David leads the efforts to distribute gospel opportunities in more than a hundred countries and to implement The Greatest Journey discipleship program worldwide.
2024 Connect 1 Day – Session 1
Welcome
Franklin Graham began Connect 1 Day with a charge to Connect Volunteers, encouraging attendees to trust God’s plan. Edward Graham followed with a ministry-wide update of Samaritan’s Purse, and Jim Harrelson finished the opening session with a powerful address featuring spiritual impact stories and encouragement
2024 Connect 1 Day – Session 2
Domestic Update
Randy Riddle, opened General Session 2 with “family time” — a national update that celebrated 2023 accomplishments and looked ahead to the next few years. Jennifer Trevithick shared an update on the 5 in 2025 goals. Before updates from Joey White and Brian Clarke, two testimonies from Area Coordinators were shared.
2024 Connect 1 Day – Session 3
International Update
Nick Bechert opened General Session 3 with an update about current Samaritan’s Purse international responses. Director David Thompson then shared how OCC is reaching Unreached People Groups, and how volunteer teams around the world are developing and multiplying to increase ministry opportunities as the number of shoebox gifts continues to grow. Jerry Johnson, Andy Almeida, Anna Ferfecka-Telenga, and Yolanda Crouch followed up with stories of how God is working through shoebox gifts all over the world. Finally, Moises Groezinger closed the Connect 1 Day conference with a commissioning prayer.
